Anchored by the lush green foliage on one side and multi-colored moss covered rocks on the other, this beautiful waterfall is one of the most appealing I have ever recorded on film. Although, it is relatively small in comparison to other popular falls in the country, the uniqueness of this beauty lies in the consistent smooth flow of cascading water. This image was take in Mount Rainier National Park, Washington.
My introduction to photography began in the mid-50’s as a teenager employed to assist Joe Mason, a disabled Korean War Veteran, being trained by the Veterans Administration in the Art of Photography. I was hired primarily to assist Mr. Mason in the darkroom and to maintain an orderly appearance in his studio. Mr. Mason allowed me to be present for the majority of his training classes and this afforded me an opportunity to learn all aspects of the business. Growing up in the beautiful Tidewater area of Southeastern Virginia gave me a profound love of nature’s awesome beauty.
